5 Quirky Ideas for a Themed Photo Booth

If you’re looking for something to help your party be even more special and memorable whilst entertaining your guests at the same time, why not consider hiring a party photo booth? People love photo booths at parties as they’re an enjoyable and unusual form of interactive entertainment, plus they get a great picture of themselves with their friends to take home as a memento. Photo booths can be made even more amusing by adding props and accessories. Here are some fun and quirky ideas for props and themes that you can add to your party photo booth.

Roaring 20’s.

photo_booth_taxiWith the release of the film ‘The Great Gatsby’, people are trying to recreate the old school style glamour of the roaring 20’s. It doesn’t need to be too outrageous or complicated; just a few feather boas, martini glasses and flapper-style head bands. You could maybe get some Velcro bowties for the men as well or some old fashioned gangster-style fake Tommy guns. You could use a photo wall for an even more eclectic feel.

Pirates are a great theme for children and adults alike. One of the great things about a pirate theme, apart from it being very popular with lots of people is that it doesn’t need to be complicated for the theme to be very apparent; all you need is a few eye patches, swords and maybe a hook and a parrot. You could extend the theme to your backdrop as well to really set the scene.

 London Taxi.

Some party photo booth hire companies can provide a taxi booth which makes it an even more individual feature and can be more fitting with your theme.  To make a London theme complete, add props like bowler hats, Union Jack flags, a Queen’s Guard hat (made from fake fur not bear skin, obviously!) or maybe some crown jewels.

 Cops and Robbers.

Think truncheons and traditional helmets for policemen and eye masks and sacks with the word ‘swag’ printed on them for the robbers. Just make sure that the ‘robbers’ don’t take their role too seriously and try to make off with the photo booth!

 Valentine’s Day.

Even if your party isn’t in February, a love-based theme is still great for parties, especially weddings and anniversaries. As well as a pink or red backdrop with lots of hearts, you could have fluffy cupid wings and bow and arrow for people to wear and pose with, roses or maybe a ‘kissing booth’ to encourage people to embrace their romantic side! You could get a white board photo booth so people can leave messages for the happy couple.

You could mix and match themes to make your party photo booth even more crazy and zany, or choose a motif that fits in with the overall style of your party and run with it. The photo booth world is really your oyster and there are an unlimited amount of ideas that you can try and you and your guests are sure to love whatever you choose.
