Olympus has released a firmware update for it’s OM-D E-M5 Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera that offers the following improvements:
Improved Sleep Recovery
This update is designed to improve the camera’s speed at waking from Sleep Mode, which can help capture shots that may be missed otherwise when the need arises to take photos on a moments notice.
AF Target Indication when using Continuous Autofocus with Tracking with the Sequential L setting.
This welcomed update lets users see the Autofocus Point in use when tracking moving subjects in Low Speed Continuous Drive Mode, to provide more feedback to users on the Autofocus Tracking effectiveness.
Olympus also added functions to automatically move focus to the wide zoom position when underwater macro or underwater wide macro modes are selected with a Zuiko ED 12-50mm f/3.5-6.3 EZ lens attached.
Olympus OM-D E-M5 Owners can find the latest updates from Olympus here.
