Nissin Di466 Speedlight for Canon Digital SLR Cameras, Guide number 109 – Review:

GREAT UPGRADE FOR PANASONIC DMC-G10!

Picked this up at a local camera store as I was headed to an indoor event and wanted/needed a better flash than the pop-up unit on the camera.

The unit syncs its internal zoom level to the camera’s zoom level automatically and very quietly, so if you’re taking a wider-angle shot the flash will adjust to wide-angle coverage. The zoom will ‘max out’ at 70mm equivalent (35mm on the m4/3 system lens), but I haven’t tested the effect of taking a longer zoom shot with this flash yet.

The battery cartridge system is very easy to use; if you expect to be taking a lot of flash shots, you can buy additional cartridges and preload them for fairly quick changes. Also nice is the way that all the batteries go in the same direction, no worrying about did I put the + side down on the wrong battery (well, unless you do it wrong for all four…)
