As important and influential as photography is, there have been surprisingly few shows on the subject. Reality shows have especially been lacking despite the visual aspect of the medium. The new show ‘Internet’s Most Talented Photographer’ isn’t going to be seen on NBC anytime soon, but it’s a big step in the right direction.
‘Internet’s Most Talented Photographer’ is a show that’s going to be airing exclusively on YouTube. Contestants will compete in a variety of photo challenges and they’ll be eliminated bit by bit until a winner is left standing. That winner will get a trip to Hong Kong, $1,000 in spending money, a new DSLR and, of course, bragging rights and publicity.
Another unique aspect of the show is that it was filmed entirely online. Contestants utilize webcams and the main production team doesn’t even leave the studio.
You can check out the show as it airs on YouTube.
