Yesterday, Nikon finally joined the EVIL (Electronic Viewfinder Interchangeable Lens) market niche, with two powerful new cameras; the Nikon 1 J1 and Nikon 1 V1. Sporting a retro look and feel, the Nikon 1 cameras boast a new CX-format (13.2×8.8mm) CMOS image sensor, EXPEED 3 dual core processors, full 1080p or 1080i HD video recording, high-speed burst shooting from 5fps up to 60fps, 3.0-inch LCDs, and a plethora of useful exposure modes for users of all experience levels. The J1 is aimed towards average consumers looking for a more powerful camera with its five color choices, while the V1 is pointed more at photo enthusiasts thanks to some added features like a high-quality EVF and a Multi-Accessory Port.
