This was a very tough contest, requiring entrants to submit between 12 and 20 fashion related images that were judged by a panel of experts including Ivan Shaw, Photography Director, Vogue; Tomas Maier, Creative Director, Bottega Veneta; Ross Bleckner, Artist; Jack Pierson, Photographer; Carol Squiers, Curator, International Center of Photography; Stewart Shining, Photographer; Jarred Land, RED and Doug Lloyd, Creative Director.
The judges scored entries based on the photographer having unique point of view, mastery of technical skills, and an overall proficiency in the application of the photographic arts to fashion.
The prize package that An Le won is valued at $50,000. It includes $10,000, a mentorship with Management Artists, a RED EPIC-X camera and the opportunity to shoot a project for Bottega Veneta.
Le was in Vietnam at the time he was announced the winner and was very exited and honored.
